SYRACUSE - Syracuse, playing at home on its Senior Day, made 12 3-pointers and the NC State men's basketball team lost 75-66 at the Carrier Dome on Saturday.

Caleb Martin led the Wolfpack with 18 points. Abdul-Malik Abu notched his 13th double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Syracuse's Michael Gbinije led all players with 34 points.

Key Stats: Syracuse (19-10, 9-7) buried 12 3-pointers on the day, including eight from Gbinije. NC State had advantages in the paint (34-24) and in points off turnovers (19-10).

Near Comeback: After trailing by 17 early in the second half, NC State chipped away at the deficit and was within 61-56 with 5:26 left in the game. Gbinije answered the Pack's run with a 3-pointer. NC State would close to within 70-64 with 1:51 remaining, but did not come any closer.

Up Next: NC State (14-15, 4-12) has two regular season games remaining. The Pack will host Boston College Wednesday, March 2 at 9 p.m. The game will be Senior Day for Chase Cannon and head student manager Hunter Henderson.
