
200 Free Relay Wins Fourth-Straight Title On Second Day Of ACC Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C.- The NC State women's swimming and diving team capped off another strong day of competition at the ACC Championships Thursday evening with a gold medal in the 200 freestyle relay, marking the fourth-straight title the program has earned in the event.
The team collected nine personal-best marks, three school records, one ACC meet and one conference record on its second day of competition inside Greensboro Aquatic Center. Additionally, NC State landed on the podium in all four events the Wolfpack competed in.

NC State also had six tab All-ACC honors, as Hannah Moore, Alexia Zevnik, Riki Bonnema and Natalie Labonge all earned top-three finishes in their respective individual events Thursday evening. Ashlyn Koletic and Krista Duffield also earned the mention as members of the gold medal-winning 200 free relay team.

Through two days of competition the Pack moved up two spots in the team standings, sitting in second place with 441.5 points. Virginia leads the field with 486.5 points, while Louisville rounds out the top three with 395.5.

Wolfpack Relays
The 200 freestyle relay team of Bonnema, Koletic, Labonge and Duffield posted a time of 1:27.50 to win the program's fourth-straight title in the event. The mark stands as an ACC meet, conference and school record, as well as the second-fastest time in the nation.

Freestyle
Moore and Rachel Muller pulled out third and fourth place finishes in the overall standings of the 500 freestyle, only touching the wall one second apart. Moore placed third with a time of 4:38.53 and Muller posted a personal-best mark of 4:39.53 to finish fourth.
Moore's prelims time of 4:38.02 stands as a school record and career best, while Shelly Craddock tabbed a career-best performance of 4:43.44 in the 'B' final of the event to finish 11th in the standings.
In the 50 free, NC State had six swimmers return to the finals of the event. Bonnema and Labonge landed on the podium in the event, as Bonnema placed second with a time of 21.94 and Labonge finished third with a personal-best mark after stopping the clock at 22.23.
Koletic posted a mark of 22.33 to finish fifth in the overall standings, while Duffield and Courtney Caldwell's finals times of 22.48 and 22.73, respectively, and Koletic's prelims time of 22.21 stand as personal best times for the Pack swimmers.

Individual Medley
Zevnik and Kayla Brumbaum represented the Wolfpack in the 200 individual medley finals. The 'A' final was a back-and-forth race between the middle lanes, as Zevnik earned a second-place finish in the event with a school record and career-best time of 1:56.02.
Additionally, Brumbaum's performance of 2:00.12 earned the junior a career-best mark and a 13th-place finish in the overall standings.

The Wolfpack women will continue competition at the ACC Championships through Saturday. Friday's prelims will begin at 10 a.m., while finals are set for a 6 p.m. start. Live results will be available for both sessions while extensive coverage via ESPN3 will be available from 6-8 p.m.
