Jones Led the Wolfpack with 109 tackles this season
Redshirt junior free safety Josh Jones has decided to forego his final year of eligibility and enter his name into the 2017 NFL draft.
The Wolfpack's leading tackler this season with 109 stops, Jones played strong safety as a freshman and sophomore. He tallied eight career interceptions, including one in last night's win over Vanderbilt in the Camping World Independence Bowl.
"I came to NC State as a young boy and I'm leaving as a man," Jones said. "To all my coaches, strength coaches, support staff and trainers, I thank all of you for never giving up on me. To WPN, thanks for all the great memories in the Carter!"
"We are proud of what Josh has accomplished during his career and wish him great success as he pursues his dream of playing in the NFL," said head coach Dave Doeren.
