SHREVEPORT, LA. - After a quick walkthrough in Raleigh Thursday morning, the Wolfpack Football team, along with coaches, support staff and families headed to RDU and boarded a plane bound for Shreveport, Louisiana and the 2016 Camping World Independence Bowl.
The bowl staff and a large contingent from the Shreveport Police Department escorted the six buses to the team hotel, where the players were greeted by beauty queens and welcomed by the entire Hilton staff decked out in Wolfpack gear.
The rest of the day is relatively free for the team, with a team meeting and dinner and then free time tonight. Tomorrow morning, the Wolfpack will be back on the practice field.
