RALEIGH – NC State will not renew the contract of men's soccer head coach Kelly Findley, the school announced Thursday.
"We appreciate Kelly's efforts for our program and student-athletes over the past six years," said Raymond Harrison, Senior Associate Athletic Director and sport supervisor. "We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."
Findley posted a 45-51-13 mark in six seasons, including a 9-33-9 record in ACC play. NC State, which finished the 2016 season with a 5-12 mark, did not advance to the postseason during his tenure.
A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately, led by Harrison. Associate Head Coach David Costa will lead the day-to-day operations of the program in the interim with assistance from Steven Cox and Andrew Scheck.
