Julius Duchscherer Earns CoSIDA Academic All-American Status

RALEIGH – Julius Duchscherer of the NC State men's soccer team has earned 2016 CoSIDA Second Team Academic All-America honors, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced earlier this week.
A sophomore midfielder for the Wolfpack carrying a perfect 4.00 GPA in Business Administration, Duchscherer recently completed an incredible sophomore season. The Hadamar, Germany, native scored a team-high nine goals and contributed four assists for 22 total points. Duchscherer scored two game-winning goals during the 2016 season (Oct. 15 vs. Pittsburgh and Oct. 19 at No. 26/21 UNCW) and recorded two multi-goal games.
His game-winning goal in the win at No. 26/21 UNCW was so sensational that it was featured by Fox Soccer's "The Buzzer" segment and has generated in excess of 133,000 views.
In addition to his team-leading nine goals during the 2016 season, Duchscherer is the Wolfpack's active scoring leader with 14 goals in two seasons.
