NSCAA Release
KANSAS CITY, Mo – The NC State men's and women's soccer teams both received the 2015-16 National Soccer Coaches Association of America College Team Academic Award, the organization announced Thursday.
NC State is one of just 221 schools across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III that had both its men's and women's teams earn the honor. To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player's GPA, then dividing by the total number of players.
The NC State women's soccer team returns to action this evening at Louisville (7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra) while the men's team will next play at No. 5 Clemson on Saturday (7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra).
