Julius Duchscherer Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Status

RALEIGH – Julius Duchscherer of the NC State men's soccer team has earned 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District honors, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Thursday afternoon.
A sophomore midfielder for the Wolfpack carrying a perfect 4.00 GPA in Business Administration, Duchscherer is in the midst of an incredible season. The Hadamar, Germany, native has scored a team-high eight goals and contributed three assists for 19 total points. Duchscherer has scored two game-winning goals this season (Oct. 15 vs. Pittsburgh and Oct. 19 at No. 26/21 UNCW) and has recorded two multi-goal games.
His game-winning goal in the win at No. 26/21 UNCW was so sensational that it was featured by Fox Soccer's "The Buzzer" segment and has generated in excess of 133,000 views as of the time of this release.
In addition to his team-leading eight goals this season, Duchscherer is the Wolfpack's active scoring leader with 13 goals in less than two full seasons.
Duchscherer and other honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first, second, and third-team All-American honorees will be selected later this month.
