RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State junior tight end David J. Grinnage has decided to forego his final year of eligibility and enter the 2016 NFL Draft.
"I would like to thank Coach Doeren, Coach Faulkner and the NC State staff for their support throughout my career," said Grinnage. "It will be tough to leave my Wolfpack teammates but I feel that this is the right decision for me and my family at this time."
Grinnage, a preseason candidate for the Mackey Award each of the past two seasons, tallied 25 catches in 2015, with 18 coming against ranked teams. He played in 38 career games, starting 25, and tallied 67 receptions for 798 yards and nine touchdowns.
