Pack Football Well-Represented in Postseason Games

Six of Pack’s nine seniors to compete in all-star games this month
Six of the nine seniors on the 2015 Wolfpack football squad have been invited to compete in postseason all-star games. All six have already graduated from NC State.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who started 26 games over the past two seasons for the Wolfpack, will play in the Reese's Senior Bowl on Jan. 30 at 2:30 p.m. in Mobile, Ala. Brissett threw for 5,268 yards in his two-year career, the seventh-best mark in school history, while his 43 career touchdown passes ranks fifth.
A trio of former Pack players will compete in the East West Shrine Game in St. Petersburg, Fla. on Jan. 23 at 4 p.m.:cornerback Juston Burris, defensive end Mike Rose and offensive tackle Joe Thuney.  Burris was the most experienced player on the 2015 squad with 43 career starts, while Rose, a second-team All-ACC performer, finished his career ranked eighth in school history in career sacks. Thuney earned first-team All-America honors from his left tackle spot in 2015, and started at four positions of the offensive line during his career.
Safety Hakim Jones, who finished the 2015 campaign ranked fourth on the team in tackles, will participate in the inaugural Tropic Bowl, which will be held in Miami on Jan. 17, while offensive guard Alex Barr, a three-year starter, has been in Texas all week taking part in the College Gridiron Showcase in Bedford, Texas.
