#PackCamp Day 4: Defense’s Day

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Wolfpack had a bit of a break from the heat on Friday morning, working out for over two hours under cloudy skies at the Dail Practice Facility. The defense had a strong showing during Friday's workout.
"The defense definitely had their way today," said head coach Dave Doeren as he left the field. "We're making too many mistakes. We turned the ball over too much today offensively.
"But that's camp, you know. It's back and forth. So what we want to see tomorrow is what the offense comes back with."
Doeren is, however, pleased with the energy level his team has brought to practice each day. "We've got great energy. We're definitely where we want to be as far as the effort we're getting, I just want to see guys play their assignments better."
Notes on Day 4
Top Wolves: According to the head coach, "a lot of defensive guys" and "nobody on offense" stood out during Friday's practice.
Attire: The team was in helmets and shoulder pads again today, but will put on full pads tomorrow. The team won't go live until next week as the staff wants to give them time to get used to carrying pads.
Special Visitor: Athletics Director Debbie Yow and her sister Susan, the first female All-American in NC State history, stopped by practice today.
One More: In the huddle following practice, Doeren reminded his players to think about their "one more" – the one thing they are doing each day to get better than the day before.
The Weekend: The team will follow the same schedule they've been on all week on Saturday, then will be off on Sunday for Media Day/Meet the Pack Day. Gates will open at 4:30 for this highly-anticipated annual event.
