Wilson Earns Assistant Coaching Spot at St. John’s

RALEIGH – NC State women's soccer director of operations Taylor Wilson has taken an assistant coaching opportunity with the St. John's University women's soccer program effective immediately.
"Taylor will be a great asset for St. John's," NC State women's soccer head coach Tim Santoro said. "She knows the game, can coach it, can identify talent, can communicate, and has an infectious personality that fits any group. I hate losing her, but she needs to be in a coaching role because she is good at it."
Wilson served as NC State's director of operations during the 2013 and 2014 seasons. She was an assistant coach at Iona College during the 2012 season under the guidance of then-head coach Mike Barroqueiro, who has been NC State's associate head coach since December of 2012.
Wilson is a 2011 graduate of Seton Hall University, where she obtained a degree in athletic training. She led her 2011 club with 14 points, tallying four goals and a team-high six assists en route to earning all-BIG EAST Third Team honors. She was also a member of the United States National Team youth program during her playing career.
NC State will begin the 2015 season with a home exhibition against No. 11 South Carolina on Friday, Aug. 14. The Wolfpack will then officially kick off the season on Aug. 21 at San Diego.
