Wolfpack to Conclude Competition at NCAA Championships

Three runners will line up in final events over the course of Friday and Saturday
EUGENE, Ore. -- The NC State track and field team has three individuals slated to compete on Friday and Saturday at the NCAA Championships. Graham Crawford (1,500m) and Jacob Thomson (5,000m) will race on Friday, and Erika Kemp (5,000m) will run on Saturday.
After the opening two days of competition, the men's team sits in 19th with five points. The Pack has three more chances to earn points, as each competitor is racing in the finals of their respective events.
Broadcast Schedule:
On Friday, the meet will be broadcast live on ESPN. Coverage begins at 7:00 pm ET, and runs until 10 p.m. ET. ESPN2 will pick up Saturday's coverage from 5:00 p.m. ET until 7:30 p.m. ET.
Friday:
Graham Crawford, 1,500m at 7:45 p.m. ET
Jacob Thomson, 5,000m at 9:30 p.m. ET
Crawford will kick off the day for the Pack, as he aims to score points for the men's team in the finals of the 1,500m. On Thursday, Crawford finished fourth overall in the semifinals to book his spot in the final. He crossed the finish line within 0.36 seconds of his PR, finishing with a time of 3:40.91.
In distance events, redshirt freshman Thomson will make his first appearance at the NCAA Championships. He qualified for the finals after finishing eighth at the NCAA East Preliminary with a time of 14:02.62.
Saturday:
Erika Kemp, 5,000m at 7:00 p.m. ET
Erika Kemp will race in the women's 5,000m after qualifying with a time of 16:05.66. Kemp took sixth in her heat and 11th overall to qualify. This is her first ever appearance at the NCAA Championships
