Pack Concludes Action at NCAA Championships

Kemp takes 22nd in the 5,000m
EUGENE, Ore. -- Erika Kemp closed out competition for the NC State track and field team on the final day of the NCAA Championships. Kemp finished in 22nd place in the 5,000m.
5,000m:
The Mount Holly, N.J., native crossed the finish line in 16:55.59. She closes out her sophomore year with a silver medal in the 5,000m at the ACC Outdoor Championships, and an appearance at the NCAA Championships. It was her first career NCAA appearance.
Women's Recap:
The women's team concludes the meet with one All-American. Alexis Perry earned second-team All-America honors in the 100m hurdles on Friday. Three seniors also concluded their NCAA careers with the Wolfpack on Friday. Joanna Thompson (10,000m), Kenyetta Iyevbele (800m), and Tremanisha Taylor (Shot Put) all wrapped up their careers. The trio finishes with a combined three school records and seven All-America honors.

The NC State track and field team concludes their season, but several athletes will compete at the USATF Junior Nationals and Senior Nationals from June 25-28.
