RALEIGH -- The NC State women's soccer team posted the best Academic Progress Rate (APR) in program history according to the most recent data release from the NCAA on May 27, 2015. Coming in with a score of 997, the Wolfpack tied for the highest score in the Atlantic Coast Conference and exceeded the league average of 988.
NC State's 997 ranks tied atop the ACC, with only 32 of the 332 NCAA Division I soccer teams scoring higher than 997.
"To maintain such a high GPA and APR in the midst of all the changes over the last few years is a great testament to the program," NC State head coach Tim Santoro said. "As we build towards athletic achievement, keeping a high standard academically and socially is still of the utmost importance and won't be compromised."
The Wolfpack has also earned the NSCAA Academic Team Honor three straight times and during 12 of the last 15 seasons.
NC State will begin the fall 2015 season with a home exhibition against South Carolina on Aug. 14 before officially starting the regular season at San Diego on Aug. 21.
