Summer Golf: Overbey, Pribonic Thrive On Local Scene

OVERBEY, PRIBONIC THRIVE IN LOCAL TOURNAMENTS
Cecily Overbey and Stephanie Pribonic have thrived on the local summer golf scene. Overbey and Pribonic recently competed in the North Carolina Women's Amateur Championship (NCWGA Amateur) and the Women's Eastern Golf Amateur Championship (WEGA Amateur).
Overbey (74-77-76--227) shot 11-over and was just five shots out of third place at the NCWGA Amateur at Porters Neck Golf Club in Wilmington. Pribonic (76-76-75--227), playing at Lexington Country Club, placed 17th of 59 players at the WEGA Amateur. Pribonic was just four shots out of seventh place.
PACK INFLUENCE AT BRITISH LADIES MATCH PLAY
Brittany Marchand has advanced to the third round of the British Ladies Match Play. Incoming freshman India Clyburn and Rachael Taylor each made the cut for match before bowing out. Marchand is one of 16 players remaining in the event.
