NC State baseball roared back from a two-run deficit with solo shots from Joe Dunand and Brock Deatherage, before Bubby Riley's ninth-inning RBI single punctuated a 3-2 series-clinching win Saturday at Wake Forest.

The Wolfpack (29-18, 13-12 ACC) managed only six hits to win its eight-consecutive game, following a 21-hit barrage on Friday night. Deatherage provided two of those in a 2-for-3 outing with his first collegiate homer, one run, and one RBI.
DEATH RAGE! #Deatherage sends a laser to right, leaves in a hurry, first collegiate HR ties it 2-2 #Instalight: https://t.co/mWeRnXYwAN -- NC State Baseball (@NCStateBaseball) May 9, 2015
Dunand hit the other roundtripper, his sixth of the season in a 1-for-3 outing. Preston Palmeiro scored the game-winning run after a leadoff single to start the ninth. Riley's two-out RBI up the middle scored him. Ryne Willard contributed the Pack's only other hit in a 1-for-3 effort with a walk.

Curt Britt took a no decision in the most brilliant pitching performance of his career. Britt worked a career long seven-plus, holding Wake Forest (26-23, 11-15) to two runs, one earned, on five hits and a walk. The junior transfer from South Carolina fanned six, one shy of his career high set March 14 this year at Miami.
Will Gilbert (3-1) scored the win with 1 2/3 innings of no-hit ball with two strikeouts, his lone blemish a hit batter in the bottom ninth on a pitch bounced in front of the plate. Tommy DeJuneas secured his fifth save of the year by retiring the final batter on a swinging strikeout.
NC State returns to action on Monday at 7 PM for the series finale on ESPNU. Radio duties will be handled by 88.1 WKNC. Fans can follow along with live stats from GoPack.com or Twitter updates via @NCStateBaseball.
