Addison, Kramer Named to Capital One Academic All-District Team

RALEIGH, N.C. - Jonathan Addison and Kaitlyn Kramer of the NC State Track & Field and Cross Country programs have been named to the 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-District® Track & Field and Cross Country Team, as announced by CoSIDA on Thursday.
Each student-athlete is one of 12 men and 12 women to earn the honor from the third district of the Division 1 first team.
Addison has been a key performer for the Wolfpack during the 2015 indoor and outdoor seasons. He earned the 2015 Southeast Region Performer of the Year award as well as the 2015 ACC Field Co-MVP at the ACC Indoor Championships. 
During the outdoor season, Addison won silver medals in the long jump and high jump as well as earning a fourth-place finish in the 100m dash at the 2015 ACC Outdoor Championships. He is competing in both the high jump and long jump at the NCAA East Preliminary.
In the classroom, the Raleigh native holds a 3.32 GPA in Industrial Engineering. 
Kramer has been a strong contributor on the women's team during the 2015 indoor and outdoor seasons. She has posted several top-10 finishes, and was a strong competitor during both the indoor and outdoor ACC Championships. 
In the classroom, Kramer has been excellent, holding a 4.0 GPA in chemical and textile engineering.
To be eligible for Academic All-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director. Since the program's inception in 1952, CoSIDA has bestowed Academic All-America honors on more than 20,000 student-athletes in Divisions I, II, III and NAIA, covering all NCAA championship sports.
All first-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first, second and third team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
