Pack Ties for Sixth at NCAA Regional

Final Results
NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Led by a career-best score (207) and finish (T5th) by junior Carter Page, the NC State men's golf team narrowly missed advancing to the 2015 NCAA Championships on Saturday afternoon, tying for sixth place in a competitive field at the NCAA New Haven (Yale) Regional. Shooting a team score of 284 (+4) on the final day of the tournament, the Wolfpack missed a playoff with LSU for fifth place by one stroke.
San Diego State (-7 on Saturday), Oklahoma State (-8), Vanderbilt (-3), and LSU (-12) had strong days on their final time through the Course at Yale, passing over the Pack to claim spots 2-5. South Florida won the tournament by a comfortable 14-stroke margin over San Diego State.
NC State was seeded eighth heading into the tournament and shot a three-round score of 850 (+10). The Wolfpack finished ahead of Ohio State, North Texas, Troy, No. 29 Arkansas, College of Charleston, Robert Morris, and St. Peter's.

BEST ROUND OF HIS CAREER
With his three-round score of 207 (-3), Page recorded the best 54-hole mark of his career. The T5th finish was also the best mark he has achieved at NC State. Page was especially successful on par-five holes throughout this tournament, averaging 4.50 strokes per par five to rank second in the tournament field in this statistical category.
CHAPMAN FINISHES STRONG
In the final tournament of his college career, senior James Chapman also recorded a career-best mark. The native of Gastonia, N.C., dropped four strokes from his prior low round of 215 to shoot a 211 at the 2015 NCAA Regional.
