Wolfpack Distance Runners Ready for Two Weekend Meets

RALEIGH -- The NC State track and field team will split its distance squads this weekend, sending runners to compete at the Payton Jordan Invitational on Saturday in Palo Alto, Calif., while another group will travel to Boone, N.C., for the App State Invite.
Payton Jordan Invitational:
The Payton Jordan Invitational features some of the best distance runners in the country aiming for top times.
Graham Crawford will compete on the men's side in the 1,500m and 5,000m races, and Kenyetta Iyevbele and Megan Moye will run in the women's 1,500m race.
Crawford holds the nation's 13th-fastest time in the 1,500m and 20th-best mark in the 5,000.
Running against NC State's distance runners are numerous 2015 indoor and 2014 outdoor All-Americans, as well as current top-25 time holders on the national lists.
App State Invite:
Another group of distance runners will stay in the state to compete at the App. State Invite. Bakri Abushouk, Nick Link, Vibushan Sivakumaran and John Wolfe will all compete in distance events.
They will face individuals from Virginia Tech, and several in-state teams including UNC-Asheville, Winston-Salem State and UNC-Pembroke.
Last Time Out:
The Wolfpack wrapped up competition at the Penn Relays where Alexis Perry, SeQuoia Watkins and Jonathan Addison all earned second-place finishes. Head coach Rollie Geiger was also honored as an honorary referee at the meet.
