Gymnastics Prepped for NCAA Regional Championship

The Wolfpack is one of six teams to compete at Oklahoma
RALEIGH, N.C.- After earning its 13th consecutive bid two weeks ago, the NC State gymnastics team will travel to Norman, Okla., for the NCAA Regional Championship on Saturday.
Competition is slated for a 4:45 p.m. ET start inside the Lloyd Noble Arena, hosted by No. 1 Oklahoma.
From The Coach's Perspective
"We're very excited to have qualified for the NCAA Regional Championship, and even more elated to be invited to the Oklahoma site. They are the No. 1 team in the country and have been for most of the year. They're the reigning NCAA Co-Champions with Florida, and we know they'll put on a first class championship as well as provide high-caliber competition.

Last Time Out
NC State finished third of six teams at the EAGL Championship, hosted by Towson. The team garnered a meet score of 195.225, two individual championship titles (Brittni Watkins and Lane Jarred on floor) and five top-five finishes.
Scouting The Regional Championship Competition
Along with the 34th-ranked Wolfpack and top-ranked Sooners (based on Regional Qualifying Score), No. 12 Oregon State, No. 13 Penn State No. 22 Southern Utah and No. 27 Missouri will compete at the regional championship.
All six teams will enter the championship after a solid final few weeks of competition in the regular season.
The top-ranked Sooners are coming off a Big 12 Championship title, tying its second-highest meet score of the season with a 197.875. Oklahoma will enter the championship with an undefeated season, facing several top-ranked opponents along the way.
For Penn State, this is their 34th NCAA Regional Championship bid, and its second time in three seasons traveling to Oklahoma for postseason competition. The Nittany Lions finished fourth of 10 teams at the Big Ten Championships with its highest overall score in program history with a 196.725.
This weekend will mark the second time in the season NC State and Missouri have face each other. The Pack traveled to Mizzou three weeks ago and posted its second-highest meet score of the season with a 196.000, while the Tigers earned its best overall score of the season with a 196.150.
Like Oklahoma, Oregon State is coming off a sweep over San Jose State, Lindenwood and Seattle Pacific, posting its second-highest meet score of the season with a 197.075.
Southern Utah finished second in its last time out at the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Championship, scoring a 49-plus in all four events for a 196.275.
