
McGetrick Ties For Second At Gator Invitational

FINAL RESULTS - GATOR INVITATIONAL
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Lindsay McGetrick tied for second place among 84 players at the SunTrust Gator Invitational.
McGetrick (74-72-70--216) was 6-over par and improved by two shots each day. She shot an even-par 70 on Sunday and held the tournament lead for a time during the final round. She finished tied with Florida's Karolina Vickova, just one shot behind tournament medalist Manon Gidali of Arizona.
"This tournament was very exciting and although I fell short it was a great experience," McGetrick said. "I feel that my game is in a great spot and I am looking forward to growing even more this season and to grab a win soon."
Overall this season, McGetrick has placed in the top ten in each of the last four tournaments. She was ninth at the Tar Heel Invitational and eighth at the Landfall Tradition in October, eighth at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic and second this weekend in Florida.
As a team, 20th-ranked NC State improved by 18 shots on the final day, shooting 297 after a round of 315 on Saturday. The Wolfpack (+80) finished 10th in the 15-team event. Arizona (+39) won the tournament, followed by host school Florida (+49) and Florida State (+62).
Rachael Taylor (77-80-75--232) shot her best score in the final round and climbed the leaderboard to finish 38th in the field. Rounding out the Wolfpack lineup were: Vivian Tsui (81-79-74--234), Cecily Overbey (76-86-78--240) and Crystal Huang (82-84-78--244). Stephanie Pribonic (86-88-85--259) competed as an individual as well.
NC State's next tournament is March 27-29 at the LSU Classic in Baton Rouge, La.
