Wolfpack Completes First Day of LSU Tiger Golf Classic

Day One Results
BATON ROUGE, La. -- On a cold and windy Friday in Louisiana, the NC State women's golf team opened play at the 2015 LSU Tiger Golf Classic. Through one round of play at LSU's University Club (par 72 over 6,251 yards), the Pack ranks ninth with a team score of 314 (+26).
Host LSU holds the top position at the tournament after the first day, shooting a 297 (+9). NC State is a mere eight strokes out of fifth place, which is currently held by Mississippi State at 306 (+18).
Rachael Taylor led the way for State on Friday, carding a 74 (+2) to end the afternoon in a tie for seventh place among the field of 89 golfers. Teammate Cecily Overby also ranks within the top half of the tournament field after shooting a 79 (+7) on the day. The freshman is currently in a tie for 35th place.

Lindsay McGetrick (T48), Vivian Tsui (T61), and Crystal Huang (T61) rounded out the team portion of the tournament for State on Friday. Through one round of play, McGetrick carded a score of 80 while Tsui and Huang are just one stroke behind her at matching scores of 81.
Representing the Pack in the individual portion of the tournament was sophomore Stephanie Pribonic. She carded a score of 83 to end the first day of play in a tie for 78th place.
