State Wins at ECU in Spring Action, 1-0

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The NC State women's soccer team picked up its second straight spring season victory on Sunday evening, defeating the ECU Pirates 1-0 in Greenville.
The Wolfpack scored the decisive goal in the 58th minute of the match when Caroline Gentry capitalized on an assist from Jackie Stengel.
"We got to play everyone good minutes and our starting group was especially strong the first 20 minutes of the second half," NC State head coach Tim Santoro said. "Our entire group continues to work hard and prepare for every training session and game with a lot of importance."
NC State returns to action this weekend at the Southern Soccer Showcase at BB&T Soccer Park in Advance, N.C. On Saturday, the Wolfpack will play South Carolina (11 a.m.) and Wake Forest (2 p.m.) before hosting Coastal Carolina Sunday (2 p.m.) at the Wolfpack Training Center in Raleigh.
