RALEIGH, N.C.- After playing its first road match of the season last weekend, the NC State women’s tennis team will return home to host a doubleheader on Saturday and a dual match on Sunday inside J.W. Isenhour Center.
NC State 5-3 (0-1 ACC) is set to host Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) opponent Louisville and James Madison on Saturday at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., and will welcome conference foe Georgia Tech on Sunday at 12 p.m. After this weekend, only four home matches remain in the 2015 schedule.
Simon Says
“Coming off last week’s results the team has really knuckled down, putting in some hard work and focusing on trying to implement improvements more consistently. Consistency is key and it's been a challenge especially with the recent inclement weather even making daily routine difficult, but we’re able to find a way everyday.
“With the delay of the Louisville and James Madison matches from Friday to Saturday, then Georgia Tech on Sunday it's going to be busy weekend which will require a total team effort and fully test our team’s preparation and character.”- Simon Earnshaw, head coach
Last Time Out
The Pack dropped a 6-1 decision in its first road match against William and Mary on Feb. 21.
Follow the Format
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has enacted the following new match format designed to shorten the duration of college tennis matches for the enjoyment of fans. • 3 doubles matches, each 1 set, with a tie-break at 6-all.
• 5 min intermission between doubles and singles
• 6 singles matches, each 2 out of 3 sets, with tie-breaks at 6-all.
• No-ad scoring in singles and doubles (if game reaches deuce, next point wins)
• No warm-up with opponents in doubles or in singles

This weekend’s matches will feature an online video stream of each court inside the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. This marks the debut season of live streaming for Pack women's tennis, as all of the team's home matches will be streamed online.
