RALEIGH – Members of the NC State women's basketball team took a trip into the community on Monday afternoon, stopping at a local elementary school to meet with an after school basketball program made up of 4th and 5th grade students at Dillard Drive Elementary School.
Organized by Rachel Stockdale, former NC State player and current Director of High School Relations, the visit featured five Wolfpack student-athletes speaking to the group of students about goal setting, life as a collegiate athlete, and the importance of academics. The latter half of the visit included NC State players teaching their new friends a few basketball skills and setting up relay races and games of knockout.
NC State plays its final home game of the 2015 calendar year on Wednesday, December 16 against Western Carolina. Tipoff between the Wolfpack and Catamounts is set for 7:30 p.m. from Broughton High School.
