National search to begin immediately
Bryan Bunn has stepped down as NC State's volleyball coach after six seasons to pursue other professional opportunities.
Â
"We appreciate Bryan's contributions to NC State volleyball and to our student-athletes," said Director of Athletics Debbie Yow. "We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."
Â
Bunn posted a 108-83 mark in six seasons, including a 45-73 record in ACC play. He guided the Wolfpack to an appearance in the 2012 NCAA Tournament. Â
Â
"It is with great sadness that I resign my position as NC State University's head volleyball coach," said Bunn. "I want to thank the university for the opportunity to represent them on the court and in the community. The future is bright for NC State and its volleyball program, and I wish them all the success they deserve."
Â
A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately, led by Senior Associate AD for Sports Administration/Student Services Sherard Clinkscales. Pete Hoyer will continue in his role as assistant coach and direct the team in the interim period.
