Stenta, Zaytoun, Frantova Continue Path to the Final Round at USTA Clay Court Invitational

Three from NC State women's tennis advanced to the quarterfinal round on day two of play at the USTA Clay Court Invitational
DRAWS | SCHEDULE | TOURNAMENT CENTRAL
ORLANDO, Fla. – Martina Frantova, Tayla Stenta and Taylor Zaytoun of the NC State women's tennis team continue their paths to the final round at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Clay Court Invitational. All three advanced to the quarterfinal round of their respected brackets on Friday.
After a strong day, of play Stenta is set to compete in a singles and doubles quarterfinal match-up Saturday. Stenta, along with partner Zaytoun, will take on No. 3 seed Katherine Butler and Sansitha Nandakumar of No. 30 Virginia Tech in the quarterfinal round Saturday afternoon.
Stenta meets Butler for the second time this weekend, having defeated the Hokie 6-4, 6-2 in a round of 16 singles match-up on Friday. Stenta will advance to Saturday's singles competition where she will face Lana Rush of Florida State.
Frantova also advanced in singles play on Friday, defeating Ana Garcia-Navas of KSU 6-3, 6-2. She will face No. 66 Daneika Borthwick of No. 39 Florida State in the quarterfinal round. Borthwick is also the No. 8 seed in the tournament.
The Pack will continue play at the USTA Clay Court Invitational with main draw and consolation singles quarterfinal contests set to begin at 8 a.m. followed by doubles quarterfinal match-ups beginning at 4 p.m. at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
