RALEIGH, N.C.- After a strong performance in its first road meet of the season, the NC State gymnastics team will return to Raleigh to host UNC-Chapel Hill, West Virginia and William and Mary in a quad meet on Jan. 31.
Competition is slated for a 7 p.m. start inside Reynolds Coliseum.
From the Coach’s Perspective
“We’re pretty excited to return home for our meet this weekend. West Virginia has been one of our biggest rival over the last 20 years in the EAGL conference (WVU is now in the Big 12), and I believe having them here plus UNC-CH, another EAGL opponent, will motivate the girls quite a bit to have another great meet like they did last weekend.”- Mark Stevenson, head coach
Last Time Out
The squad posted a 196.175 to pick up a road win over Texas Woman’s University on Jan. 25 inside the Kitty Magee Arena.
NC State’s overall score marked a season high and the highest score any NC State squad has posted in the first away meet of a season in program history. The performance also marked the 13th-highest overall team score in program history.
