RALEIGH, N.C.- The NC State gymnastics team will compete in its first road meet of the season as it heads to Denton, Texas, to face Texas Woman’s University on Sunday afternoon.
Competition is slated for a 2 p.m. ET start inside the Kitty Magee Arena. Live stats and live video will be provided through the Pioneer’s athletics homepage.
From the Coach’s Perspective
“We’re excited about traveling to Texas Woman’s University for our first away meet of the season. They’re a great Division II program; they’ve won the NCAA Championship several times. It should be a great opening away meet for us- we just need to go down there and do what we’ve been trying to do at home which is hit routines and upgrade a little bit as far as our form and presentation of our routines.
“Overall we’re moving in the right direction- we improved by two points last week from our first meet and are hoping to go up between a half of a point to one point this week and just continue to make that steady climb to the end of the season.”- Mark Stevenson, head coach
