Marchand, James Lead Canada To 2nd At World Am

KARUIZAWA, Japan - After leading for the first three rounds, Team Canada finished second at the World Team Amateur Championship. Canada was led by former NC State standout Brittany Marchand and senior Wolfpacker Augusta James.
Marchand (71-70-69-72--282) shot par or better four times and counted three of her rounds, playing alongside Brooke Henderson (66-69-66-68--269). James (292) shot 69 in the first round and finished 76-72-75.
Australia (547) came from behind to win the title on the final day, edging Canada by two shots. Korea (550) was third, followed by Denmark (556) and the United States (557).
