
Pack Posts Three Victories at ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. – The NC State men’s tennis team logged three victories in four matches played throughout the day, as play in the singles qualifying round began at the ITA All-American Championships.
Notables
- Thomas Weigel won his sixth consecutive match to open the qualifying round, as the Germany native defeated Oregon’s Daan Maasland, 6-1, 6-1. Weigel now owns a 7-2 ledger on the season.
- Nick Horton also continued his winning streak with his fifth straight victory over Uros Petronijvec of San Diego, 6-3, 6-2. He will next face Duke’s Bruno Semenzato.
- Robbie Mudge also advanced to the second round of qualifying with a 7-6 (12), 6-3 win against Jack Hamburg of Minnesota.
Up Next
NC State will continue play at the ITA All-American Championships, as the second round of qualifying is scheduled for Tuesday. In addition, Horton and Weigel will begin play in the doubles qualifying.
