RALEIGH - Following an impressive 2-1 win Friday evening over the visiting UNC-Wilmington Seahawks, the NC State women's soccer team returns to action on Sunday afternoon against the No. 11 Portland Pilots. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. at Dail Soccer Field.

SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's match will mark the third all-time meeting between NC State and Portland. The Pilots hold a 2-0 lead in the series. The teams last met on Sept. 15 of the 1996 season. Portland won the match by a final score of 4-0.
SCOUTING THE PILOTS
-Portland enters Sunday's match the owner of the No. 11 rank­ing in the country.
-The Pilots are 0-1 following a close 1-0 loss at No. 2 Florida State on Aug. 22.
-Portland posted a 17-3-1 record during the 2013 season and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
-The Pilots outscored their opponents 43-19 last season.
-Ten Pilots scored goals last season, six of whom found the back of the net four times.
YOU SURE SHE'S A FRESHMAN?
Freshman Annah Lindberg had an incredible career debut for the Wolfpack in the win over UNCW. The Virginia native found the back of the net in the 66th and 80th minutes to guide NC State to a 2-1 win.
YOUTH MOVEMENT
NC State's freshman class has been very highly regarded, and Friday's match was proof of this. Three freshmen were in the starting XI (Graybill, Lindberg, and Boch) and two more earned significant playing time (Saager and Lacey).
RESILIENT START TO THE SEASON
In both the exhibition win over Appalachian State (3-1) and the season-opening win over UNCW (2-1), the Wolfpack went down by one goal but responded well, scoring the final goals of the match to earn the victory.
CONTROLLING THE MATCH
NC State dominated large portions of the match against UNCW, outshooting the Seahawks by an 11-5 margin.
SEAHAWK STREAK
NC State has never lost to UNC Wilmington. The Wolfpack's win on Friday was the fifth victory over the Seahawks in five meetings.
