Wolfpack Gymnastics Primed for EAGL Championships

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State gymnastics team is set to participate in the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Championships Saturday, March 22 in Durham, N.H. The competition, hosted by the University of New Hampshire, is scheduled to get underway at 2 p.m.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to compete in our conference championship,” said head coach Mark Stevenson. “The kids have trained really hard all season and are looking forward to the challenge at New Hampshire.”
Last week, State finished with an overall team score of 195.525 in its senior day competition against New Hampshire. In her final meet inside Reynolds Coliseum, Stephanie Ouellette finished with a career-best score in the all-around competition of 39.525. Her score tied for the 3rd top score in the all-around in the program’s history.
State captured its fifth EAGL title in school history last season, as the meet was held in Chapel Hill, N.C. The squad posted a score of 195.175 to win the championship.
