Ouellette Named EAGL Gymnast of the Week

RALEIGH, N.C. – Senior Stephanie Ouellette of the NC State gymnastics team was named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Gymnast of the Week for her performance during Sunday’s senior meet against New Hampshire.
A native of Columbia, Md., Ouellette was named Gymnast of the Week for the second time this season, as she previously garnered the weekly honor on Feb. 19. It also marks the sixth time this season a State gymnast has garnered EAGL Gymnast of the Week.
Ouellette finished with a career-best score of 39.525 in the all-around competition in her final competition inside Reynolds Coliseum. Her score in the all-around ties for third in school history. In addition, Ouellette also posted a career-best score on the uneven bars with a 9.925, marking the highest score by a Wolfpack gymnast this season on the event. Ouellette won vault (9.900), bars (9.925) and all-around (39.525) in addition to placing second on beam (9.850) and floor (9.850) in Sunday’s meet.
The Wolfpack will return to action on Saturday, March 22 at the EAGL Championships hosted by the University of New Hampshire. The competition from Durham, N.H., is set to begin at 3 p.m.
