Gymnastics Ranked No. 1 in EAGL Preseason Poll

Based on a head coaches' poll, the Wolfpack received 34 points and four first-place votes. In second is New Hampshire with 30 points and in third George Washington. Both received one first-place vote.
NC State finished 32nd in the final 2014 Troester.com rankings, the highest-ranked EAGL team among the national standings. New Hampshire ended the year also listed among the top 40.
The Wolfpack will open its season when it hosts Denver on Jan. 9 inside Reynolds Coliseum.

RALEIGH, N.C.- The NC State gymnastics team enters the 2015 season listed at No. 1 in the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) preseason poll, as announced by the conference Tuesday.
Based on a head coaches' poll, the Wolfpack received 34 points and four first-place votes. In second is New Hampshire with 30 points and in third George Washington. Both received one first-place vote.

Three teams listed on the Wolfpack's 2015 season schedule are ranked among the top 25 of the national pre-season poll: No. 8 Michigan, No. 20 Denver and No. 24 Washington. The Wolfpack will face Michigan and Denver once, and Washington twice.
Three additional teams on the Wolfpack's 2015 schedule finished among the top 40 in the final 2014 Troester.com rankings: No. 26 Kent State, No. 31 West Virginia and No. 36 Missouri.
