NC State (6-5-3) men's soccer edged South Carolina (7-7) on Tuesday night in Columbia, S.C. thanks to Conor Donovan's first career goal, in the 100th minute.
MOMENTS OF THE MATCH
- State took an early advantage on Zach Knudson's fourth score of the year, on Travis Wannemuehler's fourth assist, which set up a breakaway chance that Knudson poked past the keeper in the 21st minute.
- The Gamecocks knotted the score 1-1 in the 40th minute when a rebound off of an Alex McCauley kick save reached the top of the box, for an equalizing strike from 18 yards.
