- The Pack enters at .500 overall and looking for quality wins to build its potential NCAA Tournament resume. South Carolina leads the all-time series 9-7-1 with wins in five of the last six meetings, but has not seen the Wolfpack since the 2011 season.
- Goalkeeper Alex McCauley enters the week as the ACC's leader in saves (56). Nick Surkamp sits tied for eighth in points (11) and ninth in goals (4).
- NC State's defense has allowed one goal over the last 269:40, but outside of the Pack's 5-2 comeback win against Gardner-Webb, the offense has struggled to support that defensive performance. During that stretch State is 1-1-1, with a scoreless draw at Boston College, and a 1-0 loss to No. 8 North Carolina.

NC State (5-5-3) men's soccer hits the road this week for a stiff non-conference test in Columbia, S.C. against the Gamecocks (7-6). Kickoff is Tuesday night at 7 p.m., streaming live on ESPN3's SEC Network+.
