RALEIGH – Saturday evening under the lights at Dail Soccer Field, the NC State women’s soccer team will host Atlantic Coast Conference foe Pittsburgh. Kickoff between the Wolfpack and Panthers is set for 7 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
-Saturday’s match marks the third all-time meeting between NC State and Pittsburgh.
-The Wolfpack holds a perfect 2-0 record in the series.
-NC State last defeated Pittsburgh on the road on Sept. 15 of last season. The win was Tim Santoro’s first ACC victory in his first season at the helm of the Wolfpack. Jackie Stengel scored the game-winning goal in the 90th minute.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
-Pittsburgh enters Saturday’s match the owner of a 5-4-0 record which includes a 1-2-0 mark in ACC play.
-The Panthers earned their first ACC win in program history on Sept. 28, winning at Syracuse by a final score of 1-0.
-Pittsburgh has scored 11 goals this season while allowing 12.
-The Panthers are led in scoring by Roosa Arvas, who has scored seven goals this season on 30 total shots.
-Common opponent: Pittsburgh has also played Duke this season, losing 3-0 at home on Sept. 19.
STRONG SECOND HALVES
Nine of NC State’s 12 goals (75 percent) this season have come in the second half. The Wolfpack has also recorded 71 of its 125 shots (56.8 percent) in the final 45 minutes of regulation.
STANKO SCORES AGAINST RANKED TEAMS
Two of Brittany Stanko’s last three goals have been scored against ranked teams. The junior forward scored NC State’s goal in the Sept. 28 match against then No. 9 UNC-CH and scored the match winner in NC State’s 2-1 victory over then-No. 23 Wake Forest to end the 2013 season.
TIGHT RESULTS WITH TOUGH TEAMS
Though NC State has dropped its first three ACC contests of the season, each one has been only by a one-goal margin. As of Sept. 29, the average RPI of NC State’s first three ACC opponents was 48.
