RALEIGH – The NC State women’s soccer team ends its three-match road trip on Sunday afternoon at Boston College. Kickoff between the Wolfpack and Eagles is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Newton Campus Lacrosse and Soccer Field in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

SERIES HISTORY
-Sunday’s match marks the 12th all-time meeting between NC State and Boston College.
-Boston College holds a 10-1-0 advantage in the series.
-The Wolfpack was narrowly edged in Raleigh during the last meeting between the two teams, a 3-2 defeat. Caroline Gentry and Brittany Stanko each found the back of the net for the Wolfpack while McKenzie Meehan scored a hat trick for the Eagles.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
-Boston College enters Sunday’s match the owner of a 9-6-0 record which includes a 2-4-0 mark in ACC play.
-The Eagles have picked up ACC wins over Pittsburgh (3-1) and Louisville (1-0) this season.
-Boston College has scored 28 goals this season while allow¬ing 20.
-Hayley Dowd leads the team--and the ACC--in scoring with 11 goals this season.
CLOSE MATCHES
Ten of 14 matches this season have been decided by one or fewer goals. Four of NC State’s ACC losses have come by merely one goal.
INTERNATIONAL GOAL
NC State forward Alexa Allen scored for Jamaica in her national team’s 6-0 victory over Martinique on Oct. 16. Allen and the Reggae Girlz are in the midst of the 2014 CONCACAF Women’s Championship, from which three teams will go directly to the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
GAINING EXPERIENCE
The Wolfpack has received contributions from 12 different freshmen or sophomores this season including a team-high 1,283 minutes from sophomore defender Alyson Brown. Brown has seen significant time in all 14 matches and has made 13 starts.
HOME STAND ON THE HORIZON
Following its trip to Boston, the Wolfpack will return home for two straight matches at Dail Soccer Field. NC State will host Miami (Oct. 23) and Florida State (Oct. 26) to end its 2014 home slate.
INJURY BUG
The Wolfpack has not played a single match this season with its entire first-choice starting eleven. At one point or another this season, injuries have limited the time of Kayla Saager, Mackenzie Graybill, Alexa Allen, Jackie Stengel, Gladys Loyas, Cailyn Boch, Jessica Baity, Mackenzie Stelljes, and Michelle Oestreich.
STRONG SECOND HALVES
Nine of NC State’s 12 goals (75 percent) this season have come in the second half. The Wolfpack has also recorded 95 of its 156 shots (60.8 percent) in the final 45 minutes of regulation.
