#PACKFOOTY NEWS & NOTES
- Junior goalkeeper Alex McCauley earned ACC Player of the Week honors following State's win over then-No. 5 Louisville, and backed up that performance with a four-save shutout in the Wolfpack's scoreless road draw at Boston College. McCauley ranks first in the ACC with 52 saves, and tied for third with five shutouts.
- Nick Surkamp leads the Wolfpack and ranks tied for sixth in the conference with four goal on the year. Surkamp sits ninth in the ACC with 0.92 points per game. The redshirt senior has acclimated himself well to a role as the Pack's top sub, scoring once and landing five shots on target over State's last three contests, a 2-0-1 stretch for the Wolfpack.
- The ACC Tournament will invite the top seed from each division, and the next eight teams (by conference record) regardless of division. The Wolfpack currently sits in the No. 10 spot, safely in the ACCT field. With a win over the Tar Heels, State would return to .500 in conference play with fewer losses than Wake Forest, Duke, and Virginia Tech.
