Volleyball Hosts Notre Dame on Sunday

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State women's volleyball team will play its first home conference match of the season on Sunday, Sept. 29, when it takes the court against Notre Dame. First serve is slated for 2 p.m. inside Reynolds Coliseum.
The Wolfpack (9-4, 0-1 ACC) dropped its first conference match of the season on Wednesday against North Carolina, as did the Fighting Irish (6-6, 0-1 ACC) who lost to the Tar Heels on Friday.
Junior Dariyan Hopper leads the Pack with 134 kills on the season and fellow junior Alston Kearns leads the squad defensively with 218 digs. Sophomore setter Tanna Aljoe has settled in nicely with the Wolfpack offense and paces the team with 481 assists.
Scouting Notre Dame
The Fighting Irish enter Sunday's contest with a 6-6 record on the season and a 0-1 mark in conference action. Notre Dame lost to North Carolina, 3-0, in its last outing on Friday. Toni Alugbue leads the team with 135 kills on the season, followed by Jeni Houser with 132.
The Irish have compiled a 0-3 record in away matches this season.
