Gymnastics Lands 11 on ACC Academic Honor Roll

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State women’s gymnastics team placed 11 members on the 57th Annual Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll to recognize academic excellence, announced Tuesday by league commissioner John Swofford. 

The honor roll lists student-athletes that participated in a varsity sport during the 2012-13 season and achieved a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better. 

Senior Rachel Fincham received the honor for the fourth time in as many years, while juniors Hannah Fallanca, Kristen Harabedian, Morgan Johnson and Ellen Marion were selected to the list for the third time. Sophomores Lane Jarred and Megan Kurdelmeier were two-time honorees, while Heidi Ffield, Christine Shrager, Courtney Turner and Michaela Woodford were first time selections.

Last season, the Wolfpack won its fifth East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) title and advanced to an NCAA Regional for the program’s 11th consecutive appearance.
