Wolfpackers in Action at National Tournaments

The NC State men's soccer team opens the 2013 season with an exhibition contest at High Point on Aug. 17, but several members of the Wolfpack squad will be in action this weekend.
Nazmi Albadawi, Gbenga Makinde, Ryan Metts, and Nick Surkamp are in San Antonio, Texas with the Carolina RailHawks' U-23 squad, on a quest for the 2013 USASA U-23 National Cup.
After knocking off South Sound FC of Tacoma, Washington in Friday's semifinal, the RailHawks' U-23 will advance to the championship match on Saturday night at 6 p.m.
Incoming Wolfpack freshman Michael Bajza led Shattuck-St. Mary's School (Tampa, Fla.) to the championship match of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy's U-17/18 division.

Bajza is Shattuck-St. Mary's leading scorer with 19 goals on the season, helped his squad to a Mid-America division title earlier in the year, and was selected to the U.S. Soccer U-17/18 Central Conference Starting XI.
Shattuck-St. Mary's defeated New England Revolution U-17/18, St. Louis Scott Gallagher Missouri U-17/18, and tied De Anza Force U-17/18 to clinch a spot in the final against New York Red Bulls U-17/18.
The championship match takes place on Saturday at 9:30 p.m. ET at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston. Streaming coverage of the game will be available live on USSoccer.com.
