Pack Hosts Raleigh Super Regional

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State will host its first super regional ever, as the NCAA announced Raleigh as one of eight sites in a press release early Tuesday morning.
Winners of the Raleigh Regional, the Wolfpack (47-14) will meet Rice (44-18), the second seed of the Eugene Regional, who eliminated No. 8 national seed Oregon with an 11-4 victory on Monday.
The best-of-three series begins on Friday, June 7 at 4 p.m. on ESPN2. It continues on Saturday, June 8 at 4 p.m. on ESPN2. If necessary, game three takes place on Sunday, June 9 at 4 p.m. on ESPNU.
The winner will advance to the College World Series in Omaha, beginning June 15. First round pairings for the College World Series will be announced on Monday, June 10.
NC State is seeking its first trip to Omaha since 1968.
Tickets for the Raleigh Super Regional will go on sale to WPC members and season ticket holders through 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Will call begins at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.
If available, single session tickets for game two will go on sale following the conclusion of game one. Single session tickets for game three will go on sale following the conclusion of game two.
