NORMAN, Okla. - NC State men's golfer Albin Choi has been selected to the PING All-America second team on Thursday.
The Toronto, Ontario, native received All-America honors each of his three seasons with the Wolfpack. Choi was named ACC Player of the Year after recording five victories during the 2012-13 campaign.
He was the only golfer in the ACC among the 10 semifinalists for The Ben Hogan Award. Choi's 70.7 scoring average was the second-best figure in program history.
Choi has joined the professional ranks and is competing this summer on PGA TOUR Canada. He finished tied for 20th in his debut two weeks ago, and is in action this weekend at the ATB Financial Classic in Calgary.
Choi joins Tim Clark, Kelly Mitchum and Vance Heafner as the only NC State golfers to earn three All-America citations. Mitchum is the only four-time selection.
