NC State Begins #NCAAWGolf Regional Play on Thursday

NORMAN, Okla. - No. 20 NC State begins play at the 2013 NCAA Central Regional on Thursday at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Course.
The 54-hole tournament runs through Saturday at the par 72, 6,278-yard layout hosted by the University of Oklahoma.
The Wolfpack is paired with Texas Tech and Michigan State on Thursday and Friday. The three clubs are the first groups off No. 1 at 7:30 a.m.
NC State's lineup is a familiar one, featuring Brittany Marchand, Augusta James, Ana Menendez, Rachael Taylor and Vivian Tsui.
Friday's second round tee times begin at 11:50 a.m., from hole No. 10 alongside the Red Raiders and Spartans. Teams will be regrouped after 36 holes according to score for Saturday's final round. The top two individuals, not on an advancing team, will also earn berths to the NCAA Championship.

NC State is the eighth seed in the regional, tying for the program's best seed set in 2012. This is the 11th time in the last 12 years that the Pack has earned a regional bid.
The Wolfpack must finish as one of the top eight teams at the regional to advance to its second-straight NCAA Championship, held May 21-24 in Athens, Ga.
