Choi Selected to PING All-Region Team

ALPHARETTA, Ga. - ACC Player of the Year Albin Choi of the NC State men's golf team was named to the Division I PING All-Region team this week by the GCAA.
A three-time All-Region selection, Choi led all Division I golfers with five victories during the 2012-13 season. He was the only golfer in the ACC among the 10 semifinalists for The Ben Hogan Award.
Choi's 70.7 scoring average was the second-lowest figure in program history, and his five wins also rank second to Matt Hill, who set both records during his NCAA Championship season of 2008-09.
In the process of turning to the professional golf ranks this summer, Choi will attempt to qualify for the 2013 U.S. Open Championship on Monday in Columbus, Ohio.
