Raleigh, N.C. -
The Wolfpack Club will be hosting a pair of events exclusively for women this summer. The annual Women’s Weekend will take place June 7-8, while the popular Football Clinic for Women will be held on July 25.
"We are excited to offer these LADIES-only events,” said the Wolfpack Club’s Associate Director of Special Events and Clubs Media Hooks. “Over the years, we have had a lot of requests for more women’s events, and we are happy to give these ladies a peek behind the scenes of NC State Athletics.”
The 2013 Women’s Weekend will take place June 7-8 in Raleigh. The activities start off with brunch at the chancellor’s residence - The Point - hosted by Susan Woodson, wife of NC State chancellor Dr. Randy Woodson, and NC State AD Debbie Yow. The group will tour the NC State Vet School and new state-of-the-art Hunt Library. The day will conclude with dinner and a behind-the-scenes tour of NC State’s Athletics Facilities hosted by the Women’s Basketball staff.
On Saturday, participants will participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and then play a round of golf at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
The 2013 Football Clinic for Women will be held July 25 at Carter-Finley Stadium. Following registration and a social, head coach Dave Doeren will introduce his staff and welcome participants. The women will have the opportunity to live a day in the life of an NC State football player, including a tour of the Murphy Center and on-field training to conclude the event.
For more information about both events, including registration, contact the Wolfpack Club at (919) 865-1440 or visit www.wolfpackclub.com/events.
