Pack Signee Barber Named McDonald's All-American

RALEIGH - Future NC State basketball player, Anthony "Cat" Barber has been selected to participate in the 36th annual McDonald's All-American game April 3 in Chicago.
Barber becomes the fourth Wolfpack recruit of head coach Mark Gottfried to be named a McDonald's All-American, joining NC State's current freshman class of Tyler Lewis, Rodney Purvis and T.J. Warren, who were tabbed for the 2012 contest.
The Hampton, Va., product becomes the ninth signee since 2000 and the 17th player in program history to receive the prestigious honor.
Recently, Barber became the Peninsula District's all-time leading scorer with 1,981 points, eclipsing the previous mark by five points, with 20 in Hampton's (19-4) 62-40 victory over Menchville in the district quarterfinals on Tuesday.
